MOVING A HOT TUB WITH FURNITURE DOLLIES OR TROLLEYS

A hot tub is one great household appliance to have. You can have your own at-home spa right in the comforts of your own backyard. You do not have to go anywhere else and you can have all the pampering you get at the spa anytime you want and as much as you want, minus all the expensive payments for the cost of getting a single service. Hot tubs offer a great selection of benefits. From health to fun to relationships, having a hot tub can surely bring these aspects of your life to a higher level. You have a tress-reliever and bonding time catalyst right in your very own backyard. Now all these awesome benefits make the hot tub one coveted household appliance ad earns the love of its owners.
So what exactly do you do if you are moving to a new address and want to take this huge and heavy but well-loved appliance with you? The simple solution of-course is to let the professional movers handle it! They have a lot of experience moving big, bulky and heavy household objects and can do the job of moving something as heavy as a hot tub spa with ease. But then again, hiring movers can be quite expensive which is not an option for most people these days. And if your hot tub is the only thing in your household you have trouble moving, hiring professional movers is impractical. Moving the hot tub yourself is the solution and it isn’t as hard as you think it might be. All you need are two pieces of 2x4 wooden beams, a furniture dolly or trolley, some rope and at least two helpers.
First, you need to make sure your hot tub is completely empty before you start moving s drain it beforehand. Now, if you are using a furniture dolly, you need to tilt your hot tub to an angle, making one side higher than the other. Place one piece of 2x4 underneath the higher side and rest one side of the tub onto the 2x4. After so, lift the other side, the one on the ground and insert the remaining 2x4 underneath the hot tub (you will need your helpers in lifting and placing 2x4’s underneath the hot tub). Now that you have your hot tub off the ground and supported by 2 beams, position the dolly underneath and remove the beams, resting the tub on top of the dolly. Secure in place with ropes and gently move your hot tub.
Now if you are in a cramped space to move the wide hot tub, using a trolley instead of a flat dolly would be better. However, you will need to tilt your empty hot tub standing all the way to one side, at a 90-degree angle and onto your trolley. Secure in place with ropes and move slowly towards your truck.
Getting the hot tub onto the truck is another story. You will now need your two helpers more than ever, and if you can find more people to help you lift the hot tub onto the truck, then good for you. Some trucks have planks or inclines which will help you load your hot tub easier by wheeling it up.
