When you have a hot tub at home, it’ easy to fall in love
with it because of all the great benefits you get in owning one. Imagine
spending an entire day or night at work and having some stressful time
meeting deadlines, making your clients happy or doing heavy physical
labour. All you want to do upon getting home is rest and get some sleep.
But sometimes, you’re actually too tired to fall into a good night’s
sleep. It’s hard to get some good night’s sleep when your body is too
exhausted. You’ll usually just fall into a restless sleep and still wake
up groggy and tired the next morning. It’s nice to get some good rest
and relaxation when you get home each night but you can’t go to a spa
now, can you? Receiving a massage from someone would be awesome. But
what if there’s no one in there to give you a massage? Will you wait for
the weekend to get your spa session, spending your precious free time
in a spa instead of spending it and having some quality time with the
people you love?
This is why a lot of people nowadays get hot tubs so that they
have their own spa right in the comforts of their own homes. It’s easy
to understand why a lot of people also get very much attached to their
hot tub spas because of all the soothing massages it can give,
especially after a hard day’s work. Too much stress can make one very
irritable and unable to function well at work. That attachment to their
hot tubs goes to a point wherein homeowners take their hot tubs with
them when they move to new addresses. A hot tub may be one big appliance
but there’s no stopping a determined owner from bringing it along with
them to a new home, especially when they find out it’s not all that
hard.
You will need a furniture dolly/trolley, two 2x4 wooden pieces, some rope or harness and at least 2-3 helpers to help you up with the heavy lifting of the hot tub. These simple objects will make moving the hot tub easier for you and will let you do it just like how professional movers do it.
Before you start with the moving process, make sure that your hot tub is completely drained or empty of water. Obviously, you cannot move a full hot tub as it will be impossibly heavy and the water will just spill. Now if you are using a furniture dolly, you will need to tilt one side of the empty hot tub off the floor at an angle (with some help from your helpers if it is too heavy to lift), with one side on the ground and the other side a few inches above the ground. Next place one 2x4 piece underneath the lifted side and rest it on top of the wooden beam. Next, do the same with the other side, lifting it off the ground and placing a 2x4 underneath it for it to rest o. So now that your hot tub’s weight is supported by two pieces of wood, you may position the furniture dolly underneath the hot tub and remove the wooden pieces, letting the hot tub rest on top of the dolly. Secure in place with ropes.
If you are by chance, using a trolley, you may need to stand your
empty hot tub all the way to one side and slowly position a trolley
underneath one side of the hot tub and secure with ropes. Either way,
you may now slowly wheel your hot tub onto your moving vehicle. An
incline helps massively in getting the hot tub on board the vehicle. If
you do not have one, you will need the help of at least three people in
lifting the hot tub and placing it inside the truck to get moving. You will need a furniture dolly/trolley, two 2x4 wooden pieces, some rope or harness and at least 2-3 helpers to help you up with the heavy lifting of the hot tub.
