ON MOVING AND HOT TUBS

Some people think that the hot tub was created to help man enjoy life more and live life stress-free. Well, those some people are right. Hot tubs are appliances that offer relaxation and luxury at the same time. Owners of hot tubs all around the world can attest that their lives have been better since they have bought a hot tub. In these days of hard work, busy schedules, mind-blowing deadlines and heavy physical labour, it’s natural to come home exhausted and drained. A short hot tub massage and soak before bedtime can help relieve all these body pains and help promote a calmer state of mind which results to a better night’s sleep an better performance tomorrow.

It’s no surprise that a lot of people get very attached to their hot tubs. Of-course it gives them their much needed rest and relaxation right at the comforts of their own home and they do no need to travel anywhere and pay for over expensive spa treatments and services because they can get one at home anytime they want and as much as they’d like. We recommend utilp.com for quality spas. But nowadays, moving or changing of addresses is very common. People sell their homes and mot f their belongings because they’re too much of a hassle t bring when moving. So how would you move something as big and bulky and heavy as a hot tub? For professional movers, this is easy. But for newbie’s or do-it-yourself enthusiasts, it can be quite overwhelming. But if you know some of these techniques in moving, you will get the hand of it.

What you will need I a furniture dolly or furniture trolley (whichever you have), 2 2x4 pieces of wood, at least 2 helpers and some rope. If you are using a furniture dolly (assuming that your hot tub is already empty and ready), tilt one side of the hot tub and place a 2x4 piece underneath the raised side then lower it down to rest n the beam. Do the same with the other side (you might need a helper as this tends to be heavier), raise it and place the remaining 2x4 underneath the hot tub. Now, your hot tub should be raised a few inches on the floor and has its weight supported by the beams. Position the dolly on the space underneath the raised hot tub and slowly remove the beams to let the hot tub rest o the dolly. Secure the hot tub with ropes and then wheel it towards your moving vehicle.

Now, if you are using a furniture trolley, the process is similar but slightly different. You won’t need wooden beams. First, raise your empty hot tub to stand on its side and slowly slide the trolley into place. Secure the hot tub with a rope before wheeling it out and towards the moving vehicle.
Now if you have an incline for loading objects into the vehicle then good for you. If you do not have an incline, you will need more helpers to help you lift the hot tub onto the truck. Do t remove hot tub from dolly or trolley until it has reached its destination and is about to be put I place.
