HOT TUB WORRIES: MOVING TO A NEW ADDRESS

When you have a hot tub at home, it is very easy to fall in love with your new buddy. All the things it offers are simply wonderful. From all the wonderful health benefits like stress and tension relief to even something as simple as offering a calm state of mind as you bask in its warm and soothing waters, a hot tub spa can give to you a very own at-home spa or pampering corner without having to go all the way to the spa when on your free time which you would rather spend with your loved ones and family. Hot tub owners everywhere can say the same wonderful things about their hot tubs and we have encountered many customers who have nothing but wonderful things to say about these big home appliances.

Attachment to your hot tub can be understandable. And at times like these where people move around and change addresses more constantly than before, bringing along something as big and bulky as a hot tub can be very stressful, especially if you’re a beginner. But we are here to help you and offer you a few simple tips on how to easily move your hot tub.
Well, the best thing to do to save you all the hassle in moving a hot tub is to employ the service of professional movers obviously. Professional movers have a vast array of experiences regarding moving big household items and can handle the job well but usually for a steep price. However, if you are on a tight budget and want to do the moving yourself, you will need a few things: 2 2x4 wood pieces, a furniture dolly/furniture trolley, some rope and at least two helpers.
Before you can start with anything else, you first have to completely drain your hot tub of water. When this is done you may start with the next step. If you are using a furniture dolly, tilt your empty hot tub to an angle where one side is lowered on the ground and the other is higher. Hold the tub to that angle and have one of your helpers place a 2x4 piece underneath the higher side and gently lower the hot tub to rest on top of the 2x4. Do the same method on the other side until the hot tub is supported off the ground by the two 2x4’s. Now you may position your furniture dolly on the space underneath the hot tub and gently remove the 2x4’s to place the hot tub on top of the dolly. Secure in place with ropes.

Now, if you’re using a heavy-duty furniture trolley, you may not need the use of 2x4’s but you will need to stand your hot tub all the way to one side, at a 90degree angle onto your trolley. Then when this is successfully loaded on, secure the hot tub in place with ropes.
Now, you may slowly push or wheel your hot tub towards your moving truck. It is best if you use an incline to wheel the hot tub aboard the truck. If you don’t you might need around six people to lift the heavy hot tub onto your truck.
Upon unloading at destination, slowly wheel your hot tub off the truck and do the same procedures backwards and onto your desired location.
