LEAKY PIPES AND USING GARDEN HOSES ON YOUR HOT TUB

Isn’t it great when you own your very own hot tub? You have all the pleasures of a spa right in the comforts of your own home. Going to a spa costs you precious time you would rather spend with your family and loved ones whenever you’re free. In these busy times, people are at work the whole day for five days and the only break they have is on the weekends. Two days off. Time for focusing on yourself and unwinding and there is no place better than the spa to get all the pampering you need. But the costs of going to the spa are high and those weekends off you’d rather spend quality time with your loved ones and going to the spa just eats it all up.
These are some of the reasons why people turn to hot tub spas to hit two birds with one stone.  You get your very own spa and all the pleasures it offers without having to go anywhere but your backyard and you get to enjoy this with your loved ones. These are things which make the hot tub a well-loved appliance in homes all throughout the world.
But what do you do when you have trouble with your hot tub’s plumbing, such as leaks and the like? Most hot tubs have modernized front panels which indicate if there is a problem with your hot tub or a leak somewhere. But sometimes these leaks are located on the outside or the exterior of the hot tub, usually with its drain tubes and hoses. If your hot tub is hard-plumbed by a plumber, it might bit a bit hard for you to handle. It is best of you hire a plumber to locate the leak and do the dirty work or you. An experienced plumber knows techniques and ways on hot to locate the leak and other troubleshooting techniques. A plumber can handle things if a problem occurs within pipes which are located underground or somewhere inside the hot tub.
More commonly though, some leaks happen to external hoses or pipes which connect the water source to the hot tub to fill it up. When you can locate this leak, and find a hoe on your hose or pipe, this can usually be easily fixed with plumber’s cement or any hole-repairing material which you can buy at your local hardware store. Most retailers are friendly and helpful and will willingly aid you and give you helpful advice on what to do with your leaky hot tub.
If in any case you find your hot tub’s leaks irreparable or needs replacing of pipes and other stuff, you may be surprised that you can use an ordinary garden hose to do the job of filling-in and draining your hot tub of water without having to worry about leaks. Just simply hook your garden hose up to a water source and fill the hot tub with water up to its pre-indicated fill-line. Too much will overflow and too little will put air in the jets to it is best to fill it exactly to the fill line.
With regards to draining your hot tub, you may also hook up your garden hose onto your hot tub’s drain pipe conveniently located behind most hot tubs and unplug the drain cover. This method is quite slow, taking usually about an hour and a half to drain the hot tub completely. For faster draining, you may a hot tub pump which takes around 40 minutes to do the job.
Upon unloading at destination, slowly wheel your hot tub off the truck and do the same procedures backwards and onto your desired location.
