So if you think your hot tub’s problem is something you cannot handle by yourself, hire a hot tub expert. Your hot tub will be fixed and will be up and running well for the proper price.
However, hot tub problems are usually easy ones. Hot tubs are sturdy and durable household appliances that are created to withstand wear and tear. Unless the problem is beyond our control or is too major, you can try to fix this yourself. The first thing you have to do, as what most electricians and hot tub technician do, is to troubleshoot and diagnose. You have to pinpoint the problem and be able to know what needs to be done and where.
Most hot tubs nowadays have front panels that indicate the hot tub’s current settings like the temperature and other things. These panels are also made to indicate if something is not functioning properly nor needs attention. Blinking light usually blink if there’s a problem so you can pinpoint the problem. But if your hot tub does not seem to be showing anything wrong in the front panel and still functions improperly, troubleshoot.
Electricians unplug everything and make sure no power is running first then slowly plug back stuff one at a time while putting on the hot tub after each plugging. If the hot tub malfunctions after one cord is plugged then problem is solved. Usually, faulty wirings or worn down coils cause the most problems. These can be replaced with compatible ones that can be found at your local electrical supplies store. Each hot tub has a different specification compared to another so refer to your hot tub manual for parts specifications and instructions on opening compartments and other areas of your hot tub, removing parts and replacement of new parts. Sometimes, some wires are just loose which you can check upon opening the troubled areas ad tighten them.
If upon troubleshooting you find out that the problem is related to plumbing, refer to your hot tub manual on how to troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing problems
